SOB FAQ

You have questions? We have answers! We have tried to answer a few commonly asked questions below, but we probably missed a few. Please call, or email, if you have additional questions.

Question:

What does the registration price include?

A. Lodging; food and beverage (Cabo partial all-inclusive) at the host hotel; tournaments; clinics; pick-up play; a Molten Volleyball and much more. Usually...everything but airfare.

Question:

What is the level of play on a SOB trip?

A. SOB Volleyball Vacations are biased towards doubles beach volleyball, however all levels are welcome. Guests are divided into different divisions by skill level, so regardless of your level of play, we will find the right division for you.

Question:

Do I have to reserve my lodging through SOB?

A. The Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas vacations require guests to book lodging through SOB. The Ixtapa vacation has a "volleyball only" option where you book your own lodging. For the optimum SOB experience, we recommend staying with the SOB group at the host hotel!

Question:

I am sold, when can I sign up?

A. Registration opens up 6 months prior to trip date. Forms are accepted on a 1st come 1st serve basis.

Question:

When should I arrive?

A. As soon as you can get there. The trip programming starts Saturday evening, 4pm. We recommend packing "playing clothes" in your carry on luggage in case your checked bag is delayed, that way you can check-in at the hotel and head straight to the beach. Some players will pay the extra day(s) rates and join us a day or two early to relax and get those sand legs.

Question:

I am coming solo, will you find a roommate for me?

A. If you need a roommate we will do our best to pair you up with someone else also looking. We can't guarantee we can find someone but usually (90%) most of the time we have a fellow player.
